Hero Simulator
warning: this game mentions violence, death, and harming others.
You are a "hero" aiming to join the King's ranks and be a part of the Royal Guard. The requirements to even attempt to join are quite high. It will be a long and sluggish process, but the moral integrity will be worth it. Right? Maybe there is a faster way... a more powerful way... if you just wait around with some people...
Intention: I am very sad I didn't get the time to polish this game and make it look nicer visually, but anyway... I planned on making a mini RPG-like game with this idea of player choice and freedom. Except the freedom is a bit hard to find. There is a small set of moral choices and endings you can choose but, they are secret so you might not run into them on your first try! If you really want to see the secret stuff... make sure to look at the last sentence of my description paragraph...

Sagun, this totally rocks. Great work!! I'm going to spend some more time with this until I think I've reached all of the endings. The mechanics are very solid and the levels at which you can play make for a long-lasting play experience. I laughed a lot while I worked through this as well.
Hi Sagun, REALLY COOL!!!!!! I like that it has different endings and that they are hard to reach. You showed your coding expertise here, very nice. I don't have any comments regarding adding to this, it's a good loop with different playstyles and felt immersive. GOOD JOB BUDDy!
I really enjoyed clicking through this game, it is somewhat simple yet complicated enough where you just have to figure out ways to earn enough in order to join the King's Ranks. I really enjoyed the various choices we can choose from. Overall, it was really fun and simple.
This is a brilliant braindead-clicker game! I can't feel my fingers lol. Such a smart way to build a simple rig. You mentioned a secret stuff, maybe that's something not normal for a player to do, such as getting more than 100k gold and to see the guards? Or like talk to the merchant 10 times in a roll? I'd have to check that out.
At first I thought that this game was gonna take me forever to complete but then I noticed how much gold I started earning very quickly and once I found myself already buying the entire merchant out, I couldn't stop myself from getting enough gold to join the king's court! I personally find grinding to be fun (if handled well) and and I somehow got addicted to going on quests and getting gold, and before I knew it I had completed the game! Very fun, simple, and clever!
I can definitely see this becoming addicting with the desire to gain more in order to reach a certain rank, and in order to gain you have to keep playing. Super cool idea to create with our max word count. I think that something that could enhance this is adding some images, or some color, especially since isn't a short game.
This is such a clever way around the word limit. Even with the limited fighting options, it's still such an entertaining game to play. It's like cookie clicker kind of but if it was awesome. Having a clear goal given to you from the start and knowing how to achieve it really helps drive the player to want to succeed. The secret genocide route is awesome too. The decision to murder that guy seemed so insignificant at the time. Making the player lose because of that is a really fun and smart way to twist player expectations and make a choice that seems unimportant actually define whether or not you win or lose. However, that being said, I will remain standing as a proud merchant hater and I refuse to do any other ending in which he stays alive.
Also I think although maybe visuals would've been nice, I definitely think this stands really strongly on its own without any graphics.
GREAT JOB !!!!!!
Very grindy. I can see the base of a large scale RPG and how adding fighting system instead of clicking will make it great for marketing.
Such a fun and addictive concept for a game that has a lot of constraints, I played it till the end, and it scratched a particular part of my brain that really enjoys grinding but loves compounding benefits aswell.
I would say that scaling the enemies would take this to a new level, as it stands you can always fight them till you are around 3 health and repeat, scaling would make the players more cogniscant of their health.
Also, just a QoL idea, when buying from Merchants, or doing Adventures, having a button that takes you directly to the page rather than leaving and coming back would help with the continuity a lot.
Very fun and enjoyable experience overall

omg this concept is INCREDIBLY addicting and I could see myself playing this for HOURS. I will probably grind this later in order to join the King's Ranks. The systems are very easy to follow once you get the hang of it and remind me a lot of the idle game The Dark Room. I did think it was interesting that renting a room and talking to the barkeep basically serve the same reason of restoring your health, so I wonder if the are different later on. Overall this was very fun and such a fun concept !!!
I had a surprising amount of fun just. continually clicking. i needed to know what happened when i got the required gold (as of writing this i have not, but i will continue my efforts later...) which was probably what made it so replayable for me. oddly immersive for something in a text based format; really nicely done!
very interesting way to make gold, i thinks the way to get gold A bit monotonous, the last choice need 2000 power and 50000 gold, that very hard.I like that your values can change with different choices.
